How to setup IMAP in Apple Mail

Before you start checklist

Have the following details ready before you start:

• Your domain name
• Your email address
• Your email password

Setup a IMAP email account in Apple Mail on Mac

1. Choose the Mail menu and click Add Account
2. Select Other Mail Account… and click Continue
3. Enter:
   • Your Name
   • Enter your Ecenica E-mail address. Example: info@example.com
   • Your Password for your mailbox.
4. Click Sign In
5. Apple Mail will show a warning Unable to verify account name or password. This is normal. Now enter the following details:
   • User Name: Keep as ‘Automatic’
   • Account Type: Keep as IMAP
   • Incoming Mail Server – Enter mail.example.com – replacing example.com with your domain name.
   • Outgoing Mail Server – Enter mail.example.com – replacing example.com with your domain name.
6. Click Sign In
7. Uncheck Notes from the apps you want to use with this account
8. Click Done

Your email account is now setup in Apple Mail on Mac. Close the Accounts screen and click Get Mail.
