Summary

Follow these steps below to setup IMAP access to your Ecenica email account on your Samsung Galaxy. These settings apply to the Samsung S20 5G. They may be similar for other Samsung Galaxy models.

Configuring Samsung Galaxy

  1. Find Accounts. Slide two fingers down from the top of the screen. Press the settings cog icon. Tap Accounts and Backup. Tap Accounts
  2. Tap Add account. Tap Email. Tap Personal (IMAP)
  3. Enter your Ecenica email address. For example, info@example.com. Tap Next
  4. For Password, enter your mailbox password. Tap Next
  5. Enter your Ecenica email IMAP settings:
    Username:
    Your Ecenica email address. For example, info@example.com
    Password:
    Your email account password
    Server:
    Enter mail.example.com replacing ‘example.com’ with your domain.

    Your domain name is the part of your email address after the @ sign. e.g. info@example.com

    Port:
    993
    Security type:
    SSL/TLS (accept all certificates)

    Tap Next.

  6. Enter your Ecenica email outgoing SMTP settings:
    Require sign-in:
    On
    Username:
    Your Ecenica email address. For example, info@example.com
    Password:
    Your email account password
    SMTP server:
    Enter mail.example.com – replacing ‘example.com’ with your own domain name.

    Your domain name is the part of your email address after the @ sign. e.g. info@example.com

    Port:
    465
    Security type:
    SSL/TLS (accept all certificates)

    Tap Next.

  7. Tap Next on the account options screen.
  8. Enter a name for your account. For example, Work. Enter a ‘From’ name which will be used on all emails you send. Tap Next.

Your Samsung Galaxy is now configured to send and receive email using your Ecenica E-mail address.
