This article applies if you have set up an Email Forwarder on Ecenica FreeDNS or an Email Forwarder in cPanel and an email you have forwarded has not arrived.

Common reasons a forwarded email has not arrived at an 3rd-party mailbox

  • If you send an email from Gmail to an address that forwards back to the same Gmail account then Gmail will not receive the forwarded email.
  • The email was marked as spam by Ecenica Spam Filter. Emails which receive a high spam score will not be forwarded on to an external email address.
  • The external mailbox service has marked the email as spam.
  • The external mailbox is full.
  • Your domain DNS settings are not correct for your email forwarder to function.
  • Your domain name is not active.
