An email forwarder will automatically send a copy of your emails to another email address upon receipt. You can setup multiple email forwarders to or from the same email account.

Steps to setup up email forwarders in cPanel

  1. Log in to cPanel.
  2. Click Forwarders

  3. Click Add Forwarder

  4. Enter the first part of the email address you want to forward. For example, Sales.

  5. Select your domain from the drop-down list.
  6. Select Forward to Email Address.
  7. Enter the full email address you want to forward emails to in the text box. For example, info@mydomain.com
    • Tip: Forward email to multiple email addresses by adding the email addresses and separating them by a comma. For example, emailforward1@example.com,emailforward2@example.com,emailforward3@example.com

  8. Click Add Forwarder.

Your email forwarder will start to forward emails immediately.

Steps for individual users to setup email forwarders

If you are an email user and do not have Ecenica dashboard access you can still setup an email forwarder by logging into your account’s cPanel Webmail with your Ecenica email address and password.

  1. Open http://yourdomain.com/webmail in your web browser. Replace yourdomain.com with your Ecenica web hosting domain.
  2. Enter your email address and email password.
  3. Click your email address at the top right to open a menu. Click Forwarders
  4. Click Add Forwarder
  5. Enter the full email address you want to forward emails to in the text box. For example, info@mydomain.com.
  6. Click Add Forwarder

Notes

  • If you have a Mailbox and a Email Forward of the same name then a copy of the email will be saved on your email account as well. This means that your mailbox can fill up and eventually stop forwarding emails. To avoid this delete or download emails from your account, or if you do not want a copy saved, delete the mailbox.
  • If you send an email from Gmail to an address that forwards back to the same Gmail account then Gmail will not receive the forwarded email.

How to delete an email forwarder

  1. Log in to cPanel.
  2. Click Forwarders
  3. Click Delete next to the email forwarder you want to delete.
  4. Click Delete Forwarder to confirm the deletion.
