With Ecenica WP Toolkit you can easily install WordPress within a few clicks. This guide will walk you through the steps to install a brand new WordPress site on your Ecenica hosted domains.
Note: Ecenica WP Toolkit is available on selected Managed WordPress Hosting plans and Ecenica Managed VPS. If you are on a service without WP Toolkit please see How-to Install WordPress
Step 1: Access WP Toolkit
- Log in to your Ecenica Dashboard
- Click Manage next your Ecenica hosting service.
- Click WordPress Manager.
Step 2: Install WordPress
- Click Install to open the Install WordPress panel.
- Under Installation path choose the domain and directory where WordPress should be installed. – If you can’t see your domain, you need to add your domain first.
- Enter a name for your site in WordPress title – this can be changed later.
- Optionally choose a plugin/theme set.
- Choose a language for your WordPress site – this can be changed later.
- Optionally choose a version of WordPress to install. The default is the latest version. You can choose an older version if needed for development.
- Enter the details for the WordPress Administrator.
- For more advanced set ups, you can choose to configure the Database and Automatic Update Settings the site will use. We recommend leaving these as default.
- Click Install.
Wait for the installation to complete. Ecenica WP Toolkit will display a confirmation message once WordPress is installed successfully.
Once the WordPress installation is complete you can choose to install plugins and then access your WordPress Dashboard via the Log in button.
