April has been a busy month at Ecenica. We’ve shipped a round of updates covering domain management, usage reporting, email forwarders, ordering improvements, website security, and new free tools.
Several of this month’s improvements came directly from customer feedback. From the refreshed domain renewal flow to the updated email forwarders page, the changes are small in isolation but add up to a noticeably smoother experience across the board.
More updates are already in progress, and with WordPress 7.0 landing in May, there’s plenty more to look forward to.
.co.uk domains for £6.99 – April offer
During April you could register a .co.uk or .uk domain for £6.99, that’s 20% off the standard price. This was an very popular offer throughout the month.

Register and renew domains for up to 10 years
You can now choose up to 10 years when registering a new domain or renewing an existing domain.
Locking in a domain for longer gives you additional peace of mind, you do not have to worry about payment errors causing downtime to your domain and you can also avoid future price rises.
When you renew a domain with Ecenica the pricing breakdown is shown clearly before checkout so you know exactly what you’re committing to.
Refreshed domain renewal flow
Renewing a domain now opens in a clean modal with selectable renewal periods up to 10 years. The 2-year option is highlighted as the popular choice. Full pricing, including VAT if applicable, and the total cost are displayed before you commit, along with clear start and end dates for the renewal period of your domain name.
The new layout makes it straightforward to understand exactly what you’re paying and for how long before you add anything to your cart.
My Domains panel: clearer domain health at a glance
The My Domains panel on your Ecenica Dashboard has been updated to make it easier to see the current health of your domains and take action straight away if required. Each domain now shows its auto-renew status, next due date, and current domain status alongside quick Renew and Manage links.
If a domain needs attention, you can spot it and act on it without leaving the home screen.
A new Faster, more useful mini cart
We’ve added a new mini cart to make ordering domain renewals and domain registrations easier. Once you add a domain renewal to your cart, a compact cart panel shows the item, renewal period, and price. You can change the renewal term directly from the cart using a dropdown, and remove items with a single click.
It’s especially useful when handling multiple domain renewals in one session.
Clearer usage charts
The Usage section now includes a bar chart view for your bandwidth transfer data. Select Transfer from the tabs (alongside Disk, Websites, Email, and Forwarders) to see daily usage plotted across the month, with GB values on the left axis and dates along the bottom. Day-by-day comparisons are much easier to read at a glance.
Prefer a smoother view? Switch to the line chart. The same Transfer data appears as a continuous graph showing rises and dips across the month. Toggle between Bar and Line views depending on how you like to read the data.
Log in to My Ecenica and head to Usage to see both chart types.
Refreshed email forwarders management
The Email Forwarders page has a new layout. A search box sits at the top, alongside a clear count of how many forwarders you’ve used and how many remain on your plan. The Add email forwarder button is prominent, and the forwarder table lists each alias and its destination address.
If you manage several forwarding email addresses, the search and cleaner layout make it much easier to find and update what you need.
AiProtect: easier access to website security
AiProtect covers your websites, email, and domains with AI Malware Removal, a Web Application Firewall, and Self-Healing Protection, all powered by Imunify360. The AiProtect section in My Ecenica has a refreshed view this month that makes it easier to see what’s active and get to the tools you need.
Our engineers have rolled out over 200 new WordPress specific Web Application Firewall (WAF) rules to protect your WordPress sites hosted on your Ecenica WordPress Hosting plans and ensure your websites remain secure and fast.
If you haven’t looked at AiProtect recently, it’s worth opening from your Ecenica Dashboard to check your current protection status.
Bespoke Websites Built This April
This April, we worked on a range of web projects for agencies and businesses. Here are two examples from the month.
The first was a custom WordPress website built with Tailwind CSS, WordPress and JavaScript, giving the client a fast, modern and easy-to-manage site.
The second was a small, fun bespoke PHP website with a custom admin area, allowing the client to update content and manage an editable gallery themselves.
These are just a small sample of the websites we have been working on recently, from polished WordPress builds to fully bespoke web applications.

New: What’s My IP tool
We’ve added a free IP lookup tool at ecenica.com. It detects your current IP address and displays it on screen, with a Copy IP button for quick access. You can also look up any other IP address to see its approximate location on a map.
It’s handy if you need your IP for whitelisting, firewall rules, or just checking what address you’re connecting from. No sign-in required.

WordPress 7.0 is coming – available soon in Ecenica WP Manager
WordPress 7.0 is due on 20th May 2026. It’s the biggest release in years, bringing real-time collaboration, a refreshed admin interface, and an AI Abilities API. As soon as it lands, Ecenica customers will be able to install or upgrade to it with one click directly from Ecenica WP Manager in My Ecenica.
