Step 1 — Open Command Prompt
- Press the Windows key on your keyboard
- Type cmd
- Click Command Prompt in the results
Step 2 — Type the Command
In the Command Prompt window, type the following and press Enter:
tracert ecenica.com
Step 3 — Wait for It to Finish
The traceroute will run through up to 30 hops. Each line represents a server your connection passes through on the way to the destination. This can take 1–2 minutes.
Step 4 — Read the Results
Each line looks something like this:

Step 5 — Copy the Results
- Right-click anywhere in the Command Prompt window
- Choose Select All
- Right-click again and choose Copy
- Paste into an email or support ticket
