If you have a custom WordPress website designed by Ecenica, you may find that certain areas—such as menus, widgets, or theme settings—require admin access to edit. This is because we’ve limited admin access by default to protect the integrity of your website’s design and functionality.
Why Is Admin Access Limited?
Your WordPress site has been carefully built by our team, and to ensure it remains stable and secure, we’ve restricted certain settings and theme modifications. This helps prevent accidental changes that could break layouts, disrupt functionality, or require extensive fixes.
Requesting Admin Access
If you need admin access to make updates, we can provide this on request. However, please keep in mind:
- Full admin access gives you complete control, including the ability to modify your theme, plugins, and core settings.
- Any changes made with admin access are your responsibility, and we cannot be held liable for any issues caused by these changes.
- If something goes wrong, you would need to rely on WordPress’s built-in restore features to roll back changes. While these can be helpful, they may not be ideal for restoring theme or layout changes.
Backup & Restore Options
To add extra protection when making admin changes, we recommend upgrading to our Business Plan, which includes our JetBackup tool. This plan allows you to restore your site to any point in the last 30 days, ensuring that you can easily recover from any issues caused by updates.
Let us know if you’d like to proceed with admin access or if you’re interested in upgrading your WordPress package, and we’ll be happy to assist.
