This article shows you how to quickly and easily publish a iWeb website to your Ecenica web hosting using the publish to FTP server option in Apple iWeb. You do not need an Apple MobileMe account to publish your iWeb website, as Ecenica web hosting fully supports iWeb.
Publishing iWeb using FTP
- Click Site.
- Select FTP Server from the drop down list.
- Enter the following details:
- Site Name
- public_html
- Server Address
- Enter your domain name. For example, yourdomainname.com
- Username
- Your Ecenica cPanel username
- Password
- Your Ecenica cPanel password
- Directory/Path
- Leave blank
- Protocol
- FTP
- Port
- 21
- Website URL
- Enter your domain name. For example, http://www.yourdomainname.com
- Click Publish Site.
After publishing you can use File > Publish Site Changes to only upload files you’ve modified instead of your whole website.
You can view your website by opening your web browser and visiting your domain name. For example, http://www.yourdomainname.com
Publishing iWeb to an Add-on Domain
Enter the following details to publish to an add-on domain hosted on your Ecenica web hosting package:
- Site Name
- Enter your add-on domain. For example, yourseconddomain.com
- Server Address
- Enter your add-on domain name. For example, yourseconddomain.com
- Username
- Your Ecenica cPanel username
- Password
- Your Ecenica cPanel password
- Directory/Path
- public_html
- Protocol
- FTP
- Port
- 21
- Website URL
- Enter your add-on domain name. For example, http://www.yourseconddomain2.com
