What is DKIM
DKIM Email Authentication helps to verify the emails you have sent from your Ecenica email addresses by signing your emails with a private key. The emails you send are checked by the recipient’s email server to check the key matches your DKIM public key.
The benefit of DKIM authentication is it makes it less likely emails you send will end up in a spam folder and reduces the chance someone can ‘spoof’ your email address.
Use the steps below to view your DKIM public and private keys.
At Ecenica we manage your DKIM key for you as part of your Email Hosting services. This means in most cases you do not need to view or adjust your DKIM keys and for best security we advise against taking a copy of your private key.
How to view your DKIM public key
- Log in to cPanel.
- For help accessing your cPanel see Where do I log in to my hosting control panel.
- Click Email Deliverability
- Click Manage for the domain you wish to view.
- Your public DKIM key will be shown in the *Current “DKIM” (TXT) Record value field. Click Copy if you wish to copy your DKIM public key.
