How-to Disable mod_security Firewall for your domains in cPanel

mod_security web application firewall (WAF) is an important security feature we use to keep your websites on your Ecenica web hosting service secure. We strongly recommend keeping mod_security enabled.

However there are occasions during the development of your website where you may wish to temporarily disable mod_security firewall to help troubleshoot an issue. You can disable mod_security temporarily using the steps below:

Disable mod_security in cPanel

  1. Login to cPanel
  2. Click ModSecurity
  3. Click Disable to disable mod_security protection for all your domains.
  4. Click Disable All to confirm

Enable mod_security in cPanel

  1. Login to cPanel
  2. Click ModSecurity
  3. Click Enable
