What are Server and Absolute Paths?

Server paths, absolute paths, or webroot are different names for the same thing. They all describe the location of a file on a filesystem.

What is the correct path?

Linux

If your account is hosted on our Ecenica Linux shared-server use:

/home/cpanel-username/public_html/, replacing username with your web hosting username.

Example: /home/johnsmith/public_html/images/

Windows

If your account is hosted on a Windows shared-server use:

E:\HostingSpaces\username\your-domain-name.com\wwwroot\folder\, replacing username with your web hosting username and your-domain-name.com with your domain name.

Example: E:\HostingSpaces\johnsmith\johns-widgets.com\wwwroot\images\
