Our secure payment system has a neat feature which means your services can still be renewed even if you get a new card from your Banks (or the number or expiry date changes). This is particularly useful if your Bank issues you a new card or your card is lost/stolen. What this hopefully means for you is less time spent dealing with billing issues and less chance of services being interrupted due to expired cards.
Unlike a traditional credit card system which validates repeat payment against your personal and card details, we use a secure token payment system to approve transactions with your Bank.
When you save your card on our website, our payment provider generates a special token that we securely save on our systems. At time of renewal, it’s the unique token, rather than the physical card which is checked by your Bank.
This why a payment can still be successfully processed even if the physical card is replaced with a new one from the same Bank.
Our secure token system offers added peace of mind knowing your services will remain online and free from interruptions but also offers the highest levels of security.
Note not all Banks support this feature. If you change billing address or cancel your card with your Bank you’ll need to update your card. To stop billing issues affecting the uptime of your service we recommend logging into Ecenica and making sure checking your card details are valid and that your card has enough balance to pay any future renewals.
