“The Manage Team interface in cPanel lets you create and oversee team users who can assist in managing websites, email accounts, and databases.

Steps to create a Team User in cPanel

  1. Log in to cPanel.
  2. Click Manage Team.
  3. Click Create Team User
  4. Enter a Username
  5. Optionally, add notes about the user you’re creating.
  6. Choose whether the user will set their password or if you will set the password for them.
  7. Enter a Contact Email.
  8. Choose the roles for the user. For example, Web and Database.
  9. Check I have read and understood the security risk warning.
  10. Click Create.

Steps for your Team User to complete the setup of their account.

  1. If you have selected The user will set the account password an email will be sent to the contact email, subject [example.com] Welcome to your new account: user@example.com. Click the link in the email. Enter or generate a password for your new cPanel sub-account.
  2. Your user can now login with their new username and password. Please note, do not use the contact email to log in.

Changing a Team users’ password

  1. Log in to cPanel.
  2. Click Manage Team.
  3. Click Edit User.
  4. Enter a new password.
  5. Click Save.

Changing a Team users’ roles

  1. Log in to cPanel.
  2. Click Manage Team.
  3. Click Edit User.
  4. Click the Roles field and check the roles you wish to add to your user.
  5. Click Save.

Suspending a Team User

  1. Log in to cPanel.
