Learn how to transfer your domain names from 123-Reg to Ecenica. We include steps for unlocking your domain, updating an IPS Tag (.uk domains) and obtaining an EPP code (Domain Auth Code).
How to transfer a UK domain (.uk, .co.uk, .org.uk, .me.uk, .ltd.uk)
- Login to your 123-reg control panel
- Under Domain names, select your domain from the drop down list, then click Manage
- Click IPS Tag
- Enter ECENICA
- Click Change IPS Tag Now
- Open the Ecenica domain checker and enter your .uk domain name you wish to transfer.
- Click Add to Basket next to your domain.
- Click Continue to Basket.
- Click Proceed to checkout and follow the steps place your domain transfer order.
- We’ll process your order and send you an email confirming your domain transfer has started.
How to transfer a gTLD domain (.com, .net, .org, etc)
1. How to unlock your domain
- Login to your 123-reg control panel
- Under Domain names, select your domain from the drop down list, then click Manage
- Click Manage domain locking then click Unlock domain
2. How to request an EPP Code (Domain Auth Code)
- Login to your 123-reg control panel
- Under Domain names, select your domain from the drop down list, then click Manage
- Click Request Authorisation Code
3. Check your domain admin contact is up to date
- Login to your 123-reg control panel
- Under Domain names, select your domain from the drop down list, then click Manage
- Click Modify Contact Details & check your contact email is up too date.
4. Order your domain transfer
- Open the Ecenica domain checker and enter your domain name you wish to transfer.
- Our checker will show you the price for transferring and renewing your domain for one extra year. Click Add to Basket next to your domain.
- Click Continue to Basket.
- Enter your Authorisation Code from earlier and follow the on-screen instructions to order your domain transfer.
- Click Proceed to checkout and follow the steps place your domain transfer order.
- We’ll process your order and send you an email confirming your domain transfer has started.
