In this article we’ll provide the steps for you to import a WordPress website which already exists on your Ecenica web hosting account into App Installer. This is useful if you’ve previously installed WordPress manually or migrated a WordPress install and wish to take advantage of the extra features Ecenica‘s App Installer offers to help you manage and update your WordPress sites.
Steps to import a WordPress website into App Installer
- Login into your Ecenica cPanel control panel. See Where do I login to my hosting control panel
- Click Softaculous Apps Installer
- Click WordPress
- Click the Import tab
- Select From this server
- Select the protocol and domain you access your existing WordPress site at. E.g. https://www and example.com
- If you access your WordPress site at a sub-directory, for example /blog/ then enter the directory name. Please leave this field blank if you simply access your website without a sub-directory, for example at, https://www.example.com.
- Click Import
