How to setup Sparrow using IMAP

Have the following ready before you start:

• Your domain name.
• Your email address.
• Your email password.
• Ecenica SMTP bolt-on.
• Sparrow mail app installed on your Mac.

Setup IMAP email in Sparrow

1. Open Sparrow.
2. At the Welcome to Sparrow screen, enter your name, your Ecenica email address, e.g. info@example.com, and password. Click Create

   

3. Enter:
   • IMAP Server: mail.example.com. Replace example.com with your Ecenica domain name.
   • Login: Your Ecenica email address. For example, info@example.com.
   • Password: Your password for your email address.
   • Port: 143
   • Secure connection: Un-checked

   Replace example.com with your Ecenica domain name.

   Click Next.

   

4. Enter:
   • SMTP Server: mail.example.com. Replace example.com with your Ecenica domain name.
   • Port: 25
   • Secure connection: Un-Checked
   • Use Authentication: Checked
   • Login: Your Ecenica email address. For example, info@example.com.
   • Password: Your password for your email address.

   Replace example.com with your Ecenica domain name.

   Click Next

   

5. Click Done to finish setting up your Ecenica email address in Sparrow.

   

Congratulations. You’ve now configured Sparrow for Mac to send and receive email using IMAP.
