Before you start checklist

Have the following details ready before you start:

  • Your domain name
  • Your email address
  • Your email password

Configure IMAP in Apple Mail

  1. Click Mail > Preferences
  2. Click Accounts
  3. Click the plus sign + at the bottom left.
  4. Select Add Other Mail Account… and click Continue
  5. Enter your name, full email address including domain, e.g. john@yourdomain.com and your mailbox password. Click Next
  6. Apple Mail will show a warning *Unable to verify account name or password*. To resolve this enter the following details:
    User Name:
    Enter your email address. For example, john@yourdomain.com.
    Password:
    Enter your email password.
    Account Type:
    Select IMAP
    Incoming Mail Server:
    Use your Ecenica package’s hostname. For example, server1.ecenica.com
    Outgoing Mail Server:
    Use your Ecenica package’s hostname. For example, server1.ecenica.com
  7. Click Sign In.
  8. Click Done
  9. Your account is now setup. Close the Accounts screen.
  10. Click Get Mail.
