Apple Mail on MacOS

Enable SMTP authentication in Apple Mail App.

  1. Select the Mail menu and click Preferences.
  2. Click the Accounts tab.
  3. Select your Ecenica email account on the left.
  4. Click the Server Settings tab.
  5. Check the following settings:
    • Outgoing server (SMTP) settings:
      • User Name: Your Ecenica email address. For example, info@example.com
      • Password: Your mailbox password
      • Host name: mail.example.com, replacing example.com with your domain name.
  6. Click Save and close the Accounts window.

Apple iPhone

Enable SMTP authentication on Apple iPhone

  1. Tap Settings
  2. Tap Mail, Accounts, Calendars.
  3. Tap your Ecenica email account.
  4. Tap Account.
  5. Tap SMTP.
  6. Tap Primary Server.
  7. Enter the following:
    Host Name: mail.yourdomainname.com (replace yourdomainname.com with your domain)
    Username: Your email address e.g. info@example.com
    Password: Your email password.
  8. Tap Authentication > Tap Password.
  9. Tap Server Port, enter 587.
  10. Tap Done.

Outlook 2010, 2007 and 2003

Enable SMTP authentication in Microsoft Outlook.

  1. Open Microsoft Office Outlook.
  2. Click on the Tools menu, click email Accounts.
  3. Select View or change existing email accounts , and then click Next.
  4. Click the email account you want, and then click Change.
  5. Click More Settings… to show the Internet emails Setting pop-up.
  6. Click the Outgoing Server tab and click the My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication checkbox.
  7. Select Use same settings as my incoming mail server is selected.
  8. Click OK and then exit by clicking Next and Finish.

Outlook Express

Enable SMTP authentication in Microsoft Outlook Express.

  1. Open Microsoft Outlook Express.
  2. Click on the Tools menu, click Accounts.
  3. Click the Mail tab, click the email account you want and then click Properties.
  4. Click the Servers tab and under Outgoing Mail Server click the My server requires authentication checkbox.
  5. Click OK and then exit by clicking Close.

Windows Mail

Enable SMTP authentication in Microsoft Windows Mail.

  1. Open Microsoft Windows Mail.
  2. Click on the Tools menu, click Accounts.
  3. Click the Mail tab, click the email account you want and then click Properties.
  4. Click the Servers tab and under Outgoing Mail Server click the My server requires authentication checkbox.
  5. Click OK and then exit by clicking Close.
