If you use Google Workspace (Formerly G Suite) it’s possible to use Ecenica DNS to set up your domain name to work with Google email.

Follow the steps below:

1. Verify your Domain with Google Workspace (G Suite)

  1. Find your G Suite TXT verification record Find the G Suite Setup Wizard
  2. Open Ecenica Dashboard and go to My Domains. Select your domain you wish to connect to Google Workspace.
  3. From the menu, click DNS.
  4. In the Add New Record field enter the following:
    Name: @
    Type: TXT
    Value: google-site-verification=h8nKAuCB6HpREOrOAYnSITmR-cKVkz2hN1T3vYu5Ovs This is an example. Use the TXT value Google have provided you
  5. Click Add
  6. In the Google Admin console window, click Verify.

2. Point your existing MX record to Google Workspace (G Suite)

  1. Open Ecenica Dashboard and go to My Domains. Select your domain you wish to connect to Google Workspace.
  2. From the menu, click DNS.
  3. Click the Edit icon next to the MX DNS record you want to change. The default MX record is mail.example.com
  4. Change the Value entry and enter the MX record: 1 ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM
  5. Click Save

3. Add extra Google Workspace (G Suite) MX records

  1. In the Add New Record field enter the following:
    Name: @
    Type: MX
    Value: 5 ALT1.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM
  2. Click Add
  3. In the Add New Record field enter the following:
    Name: @
    Type: MX
    Value: 5 ALT2.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM
  4. Click Add
  5. In the Add New Record field enter the following:
    Name: @
    Type: MX
    Value: 10 ALT3.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM
  6. Click Add
  7. In the Add New Record field enter the following:
    Name: @
    Type: MX
    Value: 10 ALT4.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM
  8. Click Add

4. Setup SPF records for Google Workspace (G Suite)

  1. In the Add New Record field enter the following:
    Name: @
    Type: TXT
    Value: v=spf1 include:_spf.google.com ~all
  2. Click Add
