Learn how to delete a backup in cPanel. Removing old backups is a useful way to free up disk space on your Ecenica web hosting.

If you have used the cPanel Backups tool or Backup Wizard to backup your Ecenica account, the backup file will be stored on your Ecenica disk space. Once you have downloaded the backup file to your computer we recommend deleting the backup file from your disk space.

You can delete your backup file using cPanel File Manager.

How-to delete backups from cPanel

Follow these steps to delete your backup file from your Ecenica web hosting.

  1. Login to cPanel.
  2. Tap File Manager.
  3. Tap home from the left folder listing. E.g. (/home/username).
  4. Select your backup file. For example backup-4.18.2014_16-03-24_username.tar.gz.
  5. Tap Delete.
  6. Confirm deletion by tapping Delete File(s).
