How do I change the base directory for an addon domain?

In this article we’ll explain how to change the directory your addon domain points to in cPanel. This is useful if you want to point your addon domain to a a new directory of files for a new website.

  1. Log in to cPanel.
  2. Click Domains.

  3. Click Manage next to the addon domain you wish to edit.

  4. Enter the name of the new directory you want to use into New Document Root. Click Update.

Your addon domain will be instantly updated to point to the new directory.
