You can assign multiple domains to your Ecenica package using our Domain Alias feature. In this article we describe what a domain alias is, how you can add an alias domain in cPanel and how to remove an existing domain alias.
What is a domain alias?
In cPanel a domain alias allows you to do the following:
- Lets your visitors access your current website through a different domain name.
- Use email addresses with an additional domain name.
- Let’s you set up a redirect from an additional domain to a part of your website.
How-to add a domain alias in cPanel
- Log in to cPanel.
- For help accessing your cPanel see Where do I log in to my hosting control panel.
- Click Domains.
- Click Create A New Domain.
- Enter your new domain name, for example yournewdomain.com.
- Leave Share document root checked.
- Click Submit
How-to remove a domain alias in cPanel
- Log in to cPanel.
- For help accessing your cPanel see Where do I log in to my hosting control panel.
- Click Domains.
- Click Manage next to the alias domain you wish to remove.
- Click Remove Domain.
- Click Yes, Remove This Domain.

Q: When I add a domain alias I see the following error. How can I fix it?
Sorry, cannot determine name server IPs. Please make sure that the domain is registered with a valid domain registrar.
A: To fix this error please ensure your alias domain name is registered and pointed to working domain name servers.
Q: I’ve added my domain alias but it does not show my website. Why?
A: Please make sure your domain alias is connected to Ecenica name servers or pointed to your account’s IP address.
